The
Mongolian Academy of Sciences has been annually publishing a series of
simplified science books in order to promote and disseminate popularization of science to the secondary school students, youths
and the general public since 2015.
A new series of simplified science books
have handed over to the Metropolitan
Education Department today.The series of the books written by MAS
scientists simplifies the knowledge of distinct fields of science in a simple
and understandable way having propose of educating children with the scientific
knowledge which could further lead the children into scientific citizens.
During the small ceremony of the books hand over, the President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences Regdel.D “The main task of any science organization is to enlighten the society and educate the public with science based knowledge”. In context of this broad assignment, MAS is publishing a booklet on modern science in an interesting way for the younger generation as it is the 6th year for the series of science books. We do have tradition to hand over these book series to the for further distribution to children`s hands. Therefore, we are handing you ten series of 300 copies of books”.
In
addition, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences has implemented “One Scientist, One Lecture”
program and made a list of 191 lecture
topics to be ready for the any activity enquiries. Then the President also
handed over this lists to the Director of Metropolitan Education Department,
Mr.Gantulga.J, suggesting that the scientists are ready to cooperate with their
lectures and on relevant events as well.
Mr. Gantulga
expressed they interest of cooperating with MAS scientists on making video
contents of those lecture series.
For the year of 2019 the series reached to 54 and the MAS scientists enriched the science series by following themes: “Artificial intelligence”, “3D printing”, “Mongol Marmot”, “A magician of liquid gold” “Water energy”, “Atmosphere”, “Heritage”, “Livestock meat” “What is sugar?”, “Wonders of Symmetry”.
